Following the death of Joseph Stott in 1894 his practice was continued by two of his assistants, namely Heywood and Ogden, who moved the office to 34 Clegg Street and practising under the name of Joseph Stott, Heywood & Ogden.  However, this practice was only in existence for a couple of years.  Once George Stott reached the age of 21, and having by that stage completed his articles, he took over control of the firm, practising under the style or name of Joseph Stott and Son. After George's death in 1936, Ernest S England took over the practice.
