A new Wesleyan chapel, which is situated at the junction of Oakfield-road and Walton Breck Road, Oakfield, near Liverpool, was opened on the 12th inst. The new chapel is of Gothic design. The windows are all filled with coloured glass, supplied by Messrs. Holloway. The sitting accommodation, including the body and gallery, is about 900, and the pews are of pitch pine. The architects are Messrs. C. O. Ellison and Son, of Liverpool. Mr. S. Webster, of Bootle, is the builder. [Building News 20 November 1885 page xviii]
