LIVERPOOL - The opening services of the new Wesleyan chapel which has just been built in Lodge-lane, Liverpool, took place on Wednesday. The building is faced throughout with red bricks and terracotta, and the front finished with two large towers, ono at each side of the principal gable. The bricks and terracotta are from the works of Mr. J. C. Edwards, Ruabon, and the work was done by Mr. Henshaw. The architects are Messrs. C. O. Ellison and Son. There are four vestries included in the present buildings, and arrangements are made for the addition of extensive schoolrooms and more vestries and classrooms. The chapel is arranged for 80O sittings. The cost of the building is £5,000. [Building News 14 March 1884 page 414]
