TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION by W H Robinson and Co at the Estate Exchange on 7 November 1923 - All that building known as the College Picture Theatre, situate in Coupland Street, off Oxford Road, in the City of Manchester. The premises which were erected in 1920 (sic), measure 95 feet by 66 feet, and are arranged with spacious entrance hall, auditorium 77 feet by 63 feet, with seating accommodation for 940, and wooden stage measuring 38 feet by 8 feet, fitted with fireproof screen 18 feet by 14 feet. The premises are fitted throughout with electric light and heating apparatus. The property, which is situated close to the city, is so constructed that it could be readily adapted for storage or manufacturing purposed, or could be used as a garage, for which there is a large demand in the district. The site is freehold and contains 1,169 square yards or thereabouts, held subject to a chief rents amounting to £16 9s 3d. [Manchester Guardian 3 November 1923 page 20]
