No other reference has been found for St Mary’s Priory, Swinton. It may refer to St Mary’s Presbytery, St. Mary's Mixed School, and the Sacred Heart Chapel in Swinton Hall Road, Swinton. The presbytery was built in 1870, the school, at the corner of Swinton Hall Road and Dawson Street in 1871. Both buildings are now demolished
