Plans for the erection of the proposed Royal Opera House at Rugby have been approved by the Urban District Council, who have adopted and rigidly enforced the regulations of the London County Council. The architect is Mr Harry Percival, many years surveyor of theatres under the LCC. The work will be put in hand at once, to enable the new building (with a seating capacity of 1,200 persons) to be opened in the autumn. [The Stage 27 February 1908 page 17]
