PRIMITIVE METHODISM AT WITHINGTON - The memorial stone of the new Primitive Methodist chapel and school at Burton Road, Withington, were laid on Saturday afternoon. The buildings, which have been designed by Mr Joseph Swarbrick of this city, are to be of red brick, faced with Ruabon brick and terra cotta. They will be in the Early English Gothic style. The chapel will have seating accommodation for 300 people, and the school will provide room dor about 100 children. The cost will be about £1,700, and of this amount ,1,100 has been given by Mrs Beaulah, widow of the late Mr John Beaulah, of Withington. [Manchester Guardian Monday 17 August 1891 page 6].
