The Mynshull House which is being rebuilt from designs by Messrs Ball & Elce, architects, Manchester, and which we now illustrate, fulfils the conditions of modern requirements as to effective lighting whilst preserving a substantial constructive appearance, and there is an air of simplicity and breadth about the whole which the Elizabethan type, with all its picturesqueness and variety can so well be made to express. The building will be of red Corsehill stone with fireproof floors. Messrs R Neill & Sons are the contractors. [British Architect 2 May 1890 Page 311]
