Moss Side Conservative Club. Moss Lane East, Moss Side
The Moss Side Conservative Club which is about to be erected at the junction of Embden-street and Moss Lane East - the very centre of the Moss Side district - promises to be a valuable acquisition to the neighbourhood generally, apart from the special purpose for which it is designed. It will be built in red brick and in the Queen Anne style of architecture. Besides all the usual conveniences of a high-class club it will contain a large lecture hall, with ante-rooms which will be available for masonic and other social gatherings. In another column will be found a list of the promoters of the scheme. A large proportion of the capital has already been subscribed. [Manchester City News 16 June 1877 Page 2]
