Johnson Street Board School Bradford Manchester (School No 21)

The Manchester School Board cannot be accused of having been guilty of undue haste in extending the school accommodation in Bradford. It is now some years since Bradford was amalgamated with Manchester, and before the absorption of the outlying district with Manchester the Bradford Board had decided to build a new Board School. Yet only yesterday was the memorial stone laid. Meanwhile, building has increased in the township, and it is not improbable that before the school in Johnson Street is completed there will be pressing necessity for another school in Bradford.
