The Hazel Grove Cinema was opened on 3rd February 1913. Re-named the "Grove Cinema." about 1930. In November 1946 a new operator took over and it was re-named "Cosy Grove Cinema." It was closed in June 1961, and in October 1961 plans were approved to build a new postal delivery and sorting office on the site. The Cosy Grove Cinema was demolished soon afterwards.
