The Folies Bergere, Paris, will shortly be closed for rebuilding. The new structure, which will include a winter garden, will be one of the handsomest in the world. The plans are by Mr Harry Percival, a well-known London architect. [Music Hall and Theatre Review 21 April 1899 page 10]

The Folies Bergére, Paris, is to close its doors at the end of May. It will be completely transformed during the summer months. The changes will be made after a plan and under the surveillance of an eminent architect who has chosen the Empire in London as a model for the reconstructed house. The capacity of the theatre ig going to be considerably increased, a result which will be obtained principally by the addition of a second gallery. [Era 29 April 1899 page 19]
