The Central Club, is situate at the corner of Canal Street and Union Street and will be a building of some size. Together with the site it will cost upward of £2,000. It is to be of brick with stone dressings, and will include a large meeting room, billiard and reading rooms and the usual conveniences of a club. Some of the foundations are already constructed but the club has not made such progress as that in Rivald Street, which is far towards completion. The memorial stone was laid on Saturday * July by Sir J Fergusson MP, the member for the division.
