Additional Wards: Ladywell Sanatorium, Salford
ADDITIONS TO LADYWELL SANATORIUM – At a recent meeting of the Salford Corporation Heath Committee, Mr Henry Lord, architect, attended and submitted the plans prepared by him for two convalescent pavilions at the Ladywell Sanatorium, authorised by the Council to be constructed on the 6th April last, to contain 48 beds for scarlet fever convalescent patients and 32 beds for typhoid convalescents, and stated that the accommodation for the nurses had been somewhat extended, and also the medical officer’s quarters assed. The architect submitted an estimate of the cost, amounting to £19550. It was resolved that the plans submitted be approved and submitted in the Council for adoption.
