BACUP - The corner stone of a new Wesleyan Chapel to be built at Heald near Bacup, has been laid. The site of the building has been given to the Trustees by Messrs C H Sieber and Company of Irwell Springs Mill. The chapel which will be built from plans by Messrs Russell and Whitaker, architects, Rochdale, is estimated to accommodate 500 persons; and the cost will be about £2,000.
