New build
Designed in the form of a Celtic cross, 25 feet high. Built of Portland stone and carved by Charles Southwell, an employee of G F Armitage, the memorial was originally to those men of Altrincham & Dunham Massey killed during World War One. Originally sited in the middle of Dunham Road, the cross was re-sited in the memorial gardens opposite St. Margaret's Church in 1969.
