The Trafford Club, built in 1884 to designs by Charles Clegg, was an eclectic style building combining Jacobethan and Gothic motifs. It stood three storeys high, with basement and attics, and was built of brick and stone. Reception rooms were on the ground, first and second floors, bedrooms on the second and third floors. It ceased to be used as a club during the 1890s, being used as offices until its demolition in 1999.
