"The Grange," The Park, Buxton

Structural alterations and additions have been commenced at "The Grange." There will be a new large dining hail, classrooms, kitchen, sculleries, pantries, sound-proof music-rooms, cloakrooms. lavatories, and a large number of bedrooms, etc. The old building will be converted into classrooms and a handsome new lounge. The whole of the buildings will be heated throughout with hot-water low- pressure, and a special domestic hot-water supply, and lighted throughout with electric light. The building, when completed, will make one of the most hygienic and up-to-date schools in the country. The work is from the designs of Mr. Charles Swain, A.M.S.A.. architect. College Road, Buxton, and 12. Exchange Street, Manchester. and will be carried out under his direct supervision. The contractors are Messrs, Bower Brothers, of Wilmslow, Cheshire.
