NEW PICTURE HALL FOR BLACKPOOL - The Manchester Electric Theatre, Limited, have taken over the premises of Hill's huge bazaar, in Church Street, Blackpool, and are converting same into an up-to-date electric theatre, and they intend to open by Easter. Mr. Charles Swain, of Exchange Street, Manchester, is the architect to the Company, and he has called in Mr. A. Barraclough, architect, of Birley Street, Blackpool, who planned the New Royal Pavilion picture palace, and whose local advice is invaluable.  [The Bioscope 24 February 1910 page 15]
