Stockport Pure Ice Company Limited (Prospectus)

STOCKPORT PURE ICE AND COLD STORAGE COMPANY LTD. - We have received the prospectus of the Stockport Pure Ice and Cold Storage Company Ltd. This company is formed for the purpose of manufacturing pure ice and its supply to fish merchants, butchers, ice cream vendors, dairymen, hotel proprietors and others. The company also proposes to supply public cold storage accommodation for meat, fruit dairy produce, poultry, fish, game, general food stuffs and other articles in a refrigerated state or otherwise, which business it is considered can be worked most advantageously in connection therewith. It is believed that both branches can be carried out together at very much less cost than the cost of working each business separately. The option of a suitable site within easy distance of Stockport Market has already been acquired and it is intended to erect on this land a factory and stores giving ample accommodation for the company's requirements. The building will be large enough to hold plant capable of producing 20 tons of ice per day, but it is intended for the present season to put down a plant producing 12 tons per 24 hours and provide 10,000 cubic feet of cold storage.
