A carved oak pulpit, and lofty pyramidal canopy, have recently been placed in St. Paul’s Church, Manchester. They have been designed by Messrs. Medland & Henry Taylor, of Manchester, who suggested the canopy, as a sounding- board was necessary to enable the preacher to be heard at all, and also to relieve a certain baldness in the appearance of the interior of the church.
