SCHOOL, NEWTON HEATH, MANCHESTER This building was erected by the Manchester School Board, and was opened towards the end of last year, to accommodate 1,100 mixed scholars living in this outlying but populous district. It is of interest as being one of the last few of the many schools erected by this energetic Board, before its dissolution. The materials are brick and Doulton's terra-cotta. The contractors are Messrs Bullivant and Sons, of Manchester. The architect is Mr. W. H. Rawle, of Manchester. [Building News 19 February 1904 page 271]
