South Ramsey Estate, Isle of Man

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS - Building on the above estate is now proceeding along Claughbane, and will be on other portions of the estate. New drains are being put in, and everything is being done that will make this portion up-to-date, sanitary and otherwise. The drains will all be connected with the town sewer. This portion of Ramsey is regarded by many as the prettiest in the town and anyone desirous of acquiring a plot of land now have it, very reasonably. Both architects and builders are determined to give the best of English work and taste to the bungalows built on this estate. Several plots have been sold, and bungalows will shortly be built on same. The feeling seems to be gradually growing that Ramsey will go ahead, and the above estate in particular seems to be in good hands for development. There is no prettier place in the Island than this, and anyone who is desirous of getting a bungalow cheap will have to be early in the field. as the demand for bungalows is increasing every day. The estate is developing very rapidly and has every prospect of an encouraging future. If we could only have the direct service of steamers to and from Whitehaven, there is little doubt as to the future of the place. The Commissioners should not rest until Ramsey will assist to pay, if required, some portion of the cost for commencing this service. The architects and builder to the estate are: Mr G. E.
