Restoration

Built in 1628, this building stands alongside Nether Alderley church. In 1909, it was restored for Edward Lyulph Stanley, the fourth Baron Stanley of Alderley, and presented to the Parish Council to be used as a Parish Hall. Although no documentary evidence has yet been found, it is assumed that Phipps carried out the restoration because of his building of the Mausoleum the same year. [Richard Fletcher]
