Public Baths Union Street Oldham: Alterations and Enlargement
OLDHAM CORPORATION BATHS.—The unlimited competition of architects for the carrying out of the works necessary for the alteration and enlargement of the public baths in Union-street and Clegg Street has been decided. The first prize has been awarded to the designs submitted by Mr Lawrence Booth of Manchester; the second prize to Mr J. W. Hickson Manchester; and the third to Mr James Clegg of Oldham. Mr. Booth was similarly successful in a limited competition for the Pendleton Baths, recently erected under his supervision for the Corporation of Salford.
