Proposed Liberal Club, Marine Road. Colwyn Bay
PROPOSED NEW LIBERAL CLUB — The Liberals of Colwyn Bay and district have a scheme under consideration for the provision of a handsome new club house with tennis courts and bowling green attached. It is understood that plans of very attractive building and surroundings have been prepared by Mr C. E. Elcock (Messrs J. M. Porter and Elcock, The Estate Office), and the proposed site is situated on the Estate Company’s land, off Marine-road, hitherto used as a hockey ground. A strong working committee have the matter in hand, and it is anticipated that the scheme will be thoroughly approved by the local Association. [Welsh Coast Pioneer 3 September 1908 page 6]
It would appear that this scheme was not progressed. In 1910 new premises for the Liberal Association were opened in Woodland Road, Colwyn Bay. [North Wales Weekly News 29 April 1910 page 11]
