New Jerusalem (Swedenborgian) Church, 14, Avenham Road, Preston

OPENING OF THE NEW JERUSALEM CHURCH, PRESTON - This beautiful edifice, built from the design of Mr. John Welch of this town, was opened on Sunday with very great eclat, many persons from Manchester having come over to assist in the ceremony. The style of architecture is of the 13th and 14tK centuries; and has been built at the sole cost of Hugh Becconsall, Esq., of Ashton, who has also endowed it with £100 per year.
