COUNTY OF LANCASTER, HUNDRED OF BLACKBURN—TO CONTRACTORS - The Justices of the Peace for the County of Lancaster are prepared to RECEIVE TENDERS for Taking Down and Rebuilding NEW HEY HALL BRIDGE, in the Township of Lower Booths and Cowpe Lench, New Hall Hey, and Hall Carr, near to the Rawetenstall Station of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. The new bridge will be built with stone abutments and wrought-iron plate girders to carry the roadway. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Bridge-master's office, 1 Princess Street, Manchester. Sealed tenders, of which forms will be supplied, are to be sent to the undersigned on or before the 3rd day or April next, endorsed “Tender for New Hay Hall Bridge.” The Justices do not pledge themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
