                    Infectious diseases hospital built 1900-1902 to designs by Heywood and Harrison. The hospital was extended from 1935-1937 to designs by Fred Harrison. The extension included a cubicle block and additions to the administration block.
AN INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL FOR THE FYLDE – A block of buildings erected by a Joint Committee representing the while of the Fylde Union, with the exception of Blackpool, as an infectious diseases hospital at a cost of close upon £20,000 was opened at Moss Side yesterday. The hospital is situated on the road from Kirkham to Lytham The opening ceremony was performed by Mr Peter Blundell, chairman of the Fylde Rural District Council.
