Alterations and repair

Re-opening of Worsley Chapel. The Wesleyans of Worsley have re-opened their chapel - which had been closed for four months for alterations and repairs - by public tea meeting in the schoolroom, which was well attended. Communion furniture was presented by various members the congregation. The chapel, to which nothing of consequence had been done in the way of repairs since its opening 64 years ago, has undergone a thorough alteration, from the designs and under the superintendence of Messrs Whyatt and Redford, architects, of Manchester and Heywood, and its general accommodation and appearance have been much improved.
