A stained-glass window, designed by J Lowe, of St Ann’s Square, was erected in the south-east side of the chancel, the subject Aaron the High Priest. A clock, by Messrs J Smith and Sons of Derby was also installed in the tower of the church, having four dials, each 5 feet 6 inches in diameter. A brass tablet in the chancel bore the inscription, surrounded by a wreath of lilies of the valley – The clock and chimes in the tower of this church and the south-east window in the chancel were erected by Aaron Howard of The Lymes, Cheetham (late of Blackley) to the honour and glory of God, and in memory of Betty, his wife, who was born 25 January 1823, and died 31 May 1889.
