IMPROVEMENT OF THE MANCHESTER ROYAL INFIRMARY – A special general board of the trustees of the Manchester Royal Infirmary, Dispensary and Lunatic Hospital of Asylum was held in the Board Room of the Infirmary yesterday forenoon, “for the purpose of receiving their sanction, or otherwise, for carrying out the intended alteration and enlargement of the Infirmary and Dispensary, in accordance with Mr Lane’s plans, which have been adopted by the building committee, after having been approved of by the medical board.”
