MANCHESTER ARTS CLUB, OPENING OF NEW ROOMS - Manchester Arts Club, which has been established for more than thirty years, has transferred its home from Albert Square to rooms in the Free Trade Hali, on the South Street side, and last night there was a large meeting of members and friends to celebrate the removal. Sir William H. Bailey (President), in his opening address congratulated the Committee and Mr. Salmon (architect) on the beauty and utility of the new home. Sir, - In my remarks on the opening night of the 29th ult I inadvertently omitted to do justice to the architects of the Free Trade Hall Company, Messrs Barker Ellis and Jones, who were the originators of and architects for the scheme which has rendered our new premises classically beautiful.
