Built on an elevated site, set well back from Broadoak Road, “Lyndhurst” was noted as “a genuine Victorian building of immense character and is full of mouldings both in the stone work and brickwork on the outside and stained glass windows and screens with Victorian Gothic tracery inside. The Billiard Room has pitch pine hammer beam roof trusses and panelling around the walls.” A covenant was put on “Lyndhurst” in 1935 which stated that it should for ever remain as a one family house. The future of the house is uncertain - derelict 2009.
