Faculty from Jas. [Fraser], Bishop of Manchester to John Lees of Higher Clarksfield, near Oldham, and Jos. Lees of Lower Clarksfield, esqs., owners of Alkrington Hall Estate, to take down Lever Chapel, rebuild it and erect a porch entrance and staircase on part of the churchyard.  M39/5/5/12  13 Mar. 1874.
