Leaf Street Swimming Baths for Women

The new Swimming Baths for Women provided by Manchester Corporation in Leaf-street, Stretford Road, were opened last week. The building was designed by Mr Allison, the city surveyor, and has been erected by Mr James Herd of Ardwick at a cost of about £5,000. The bath is 70 feet by 28 feet and is surrounded by 42 dressing boxes. [British Architect 28 July 1882 Page 336].
