Built as a memorial to the Coronation of King Edward VII and opened Monday 2* October 1906. The baths cost nearly £14,000 and contained a plunge bath, 100 feet by 35 feet, a smaller plunge bath mainly for children, Turkish baths, Russian baths, Vapour baths etc.
