Hillgate House Ludgate Circus London EC 4
One of the largest immediate post-war office buildings in the City of London. Cost approx. £2 million, it was given a bronze re-facing in 1982 by Kenzie Lovell Partnership. Scheduled for demolition and redevelopment 2011.
A 180 feet high twelve storey office tower incorporated with four smaller blocks giving in all a total floor area of 250,000 square feet. Included also in the buildings are fourteen shops, three public houses, restaurant and underground parking for 160 cars. [Manchester Guardian 4 April 1962 page 4]
