Exhibition of House Furnishings: Exchange Street

EXHIBITION OF DECORATIVE HOUSE FURNISHING IN MANCHESTER An exhibition of the art and craft of house furnishing by G. Faulkner Armitage, of Stamford, Altrincham,  The exhibition was confined to four rooms on the second floor of the Lancashire Insurance Buildings. Each of the rooms was  a "model of artistic arrangement,"  and at least two of them, the more modestly furnished of the whole, served to show "how people of small means can secure at a moderate outlay elegantly furnished rooms, with consistent design, in which it would be a greater pleasure to live than in the house furnished by the makers of cheap and gaudy goods."
