Design for Marble Mantel with Lustre Tile Decoration

As an architect Mr. Sellers is well known in the North of England and to visitors to the Royal Academy, where his work is usually to be seen in the Architectural room. He has made several designs for Messrs. Pilkington’s Tile and Pottery Company, one of which, a marble mantel with lustre decoration, is reproduced on the opposite page. This was shown in Messrs. Pilkington’s kiosk at the Franco- British Exhibition held in London last year. [Studio Yearbook 1909 page 30-31 with illustration]
