In addition to other works on the estate, James Brown commissioned G H Higginbottom to design Corseyard model dairy. This building, known locally as the “Coo Palace” was constructed between 1911 and 1914 and is located on the rugged coastline a short distance to the east of the Knockbrex estate. Castellated Italianate architectural features are used to great effect at the “Coo Palace,” which is surrounded with low walls, decorated with panels of seashore pebbles.
