New build
The new Conservative Club, which has been erected almost immediately behind the Royton Town Hall at a cost of about £2000, has just been opened. The building was erected from the designs of Messrs Wild Collins and Wild, architects, of Oldham. There are two stories with a large room at the top, capable of holding 800 persons. On the ground floor there is a billiard room containing two tables, also a news room and rooms for games other than billiards. [Builder 2 May 1896 Page 387]
