ST GABRIEL’S CHURCH, MIDDLETON JUNCTION – On Monday the Bishop of Manchester consecrated the new Church of St Gabriel, Middleton Junction. The structure is of the Early English style of architecture, and consists of a chancel, nave, north and south aisle, south porch, vestibule organ chamber and clergy and choir vestries. The church has been erected by voluntary subscriptions from designs by Mr A W Smith, architect, Manchester, at a cost of £4650. All the seats in the church are to be free and unappropriated.
