Church of St Cyprian Taylorson Road Ordsall Salford
The Church of St Cyprian, Salford, which occupies the site of the east wing of Ordsal Hall (the ancient home of the Radcliffes) was consecrated on Saturday by the Bishop of Manchester in the presence of a large congregation. Earl Egerton of Tatton, at whose expense it has been built, ordered that the new church should be in harmony with the hall as now restored and repaired, and the architects therefore introduced framed timber work in the western and transept gables, the nave roof being of open timber work. The main walls are of brick, and the building will accommodate 500 persons. [Manchester Guardian 24 October 1899 page 5]
Consecrated 21 October 1899.
