Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour (RC)

A fine interwar design in Romanesque‑Basilican style, little altered and with a good set of furnishings, including a monumental mosaic in the chancel possibly by Ludwig Oppenheimer. The associated buildings on the site are not of special interest. The church is earlier than, but bears some similarities with St Dunstan, Moston (1937), and St Willibrord Clayton (1938), both of which are listed.

Foundation stone was laid on 27 July 1934; opened 8 May 1935; consecrated on 8 May 1951
