A new RC church on a site at the junction of Weaste Lane and Liverpool Street replaced the Church of All Souls, Bute Street, Weaste (qv). It was opened in 1934 by Bishop Henshaw and consecrated in 1946 by Bishop Marshall. The church closed in November 2010 and was subsequently demolished
