Belle View House, Sudbury
Replacing an earlier house on the same site, the house was built for Sudbury solicitor Henry Crabb Canham in 1873 at a tender price of £2497. The Canham family lived there for almost 40 years. During the First World War it became a Red Cross Hospital for convalescing soldiers. It is assumed that Henry Spalding gained this commission through his local connections.
