WOMEN'S CONVALESCENT HOME. On Thursday morning last the committee of the above institution met at Moranedd, J. Churton, Esq., in the chair, to open the tenders for the alterations at the home. The following were sent in :-William Williams, £2374; S. Powell, St. Asaph, £2000; Joseph Williams, Rhyl, £ 1999; J. Rhydwen Jones, £ 1970 Richard Jones, Rhyl, £1858; Jno. Roberts, Rhyl, £1764 Thos. Whitley, £1750. After some deliberation the contract of Mr Thomas Whitley was accepted, subject to the works being completed by the 20th March, 1880. The architect is Mr Owen Edwards, Wellington Chambers, whose abilities are well-known to the public.
