Alterations to Gwydir Castle

Gwydir Castle is an ancient Welsh house situated in the Conwy Valley, in the foothills of Snowdonia and a mile from Llanwrst. Formerly the ancestral home of the powerful Wynn family, the castle is widely regarded as one of the finest Tudor houses in Wales. In the mid-1930sHohn Swarbrick is believed to have supervised repairs and alterations for G H Kendrick, barrister, and vice-president Ancient Monuments Society.
