Alterations: “Oakwell,” Oak Estate, Bradford

The most striking of the individual houses on the Oak Estate is Oakwell, designed in 1868 by Andrews and Pepper in a plain style, and enlarged twenty years later by James Ledingham in a characteristically idiosyncratic manner with a tall, hipped tower and a lower addition with a half-timbered upper storey.
